About Me

Building a Better Tomorrow, Together

Like you, I am tired of the empty promises and the lack of real progress on the issues we in Red Bay have been pleading about for many years! I seek your prayers, consideration and vote in the upcoming election on 30 April 2025. I thank my many friends, acquaintances (professional and otherwise) and fellow Red Bayers for their kind words of encouragement in this mission to be elected as your MP for Red Bay.

My Agenda

Under the banner of

Our Community, Our Pride, Our Red Bay

My campaign for Member of Parliament for the Constituency of Red Bay is founded on addressing needs and representing all in our community.

The objectives below represent broad plans which will evolve as we have your views and I ask for your participation in the “needs and priorities” debate. Your input is of paramount importance.

As a first for Red Bay, I will spearhead, with your help and guidance, the appointment of a Constituency Council with a dedicated Constituency office in our district to focus on development of policies and the delivery of outcomes to meet the needs of Red Bay.

A Leader You Can Trust

1-Reducing the Cost of Living

From the supermarket to utilities and other essential services, the rising cost of living impacts every aspect of our daily lives. I am committed to finding effective solutions that bring much-needed relief for all of us.

2-Quality affordable housing

Safe affordable accommodation is a cornerstone of the Cayman dream and is a must for the sustainability of our people. I will advocate an initiative to ramp up the construction of affordable residential housing to meet these needs. To accomplish this will involve a significant increase in multi-unit residences. I believe the most effective way to accomplish this is by way of a public /private sector partnership and favour this being delivered our local contractors, financia institutions and businesses. envisages accomplishing this by way of a public /private sector partnership

Key thoughts as to how to achieve this objective include:

3-Community, Safety and Resilience

With a focus on safe community and public spaces. the “Revitalize Red Bay Plan” is being developed (to be published shortly) and currently includes:

4-Addressing the broader Traffic Safety and Congestion

Drawing on my extensive experience in the private
and public sectors, I am committed to safer and more efficient (with less delays and congestion) roads for everyone. I will propose innovative solutions (including, but not limited to, implementing a user friendly, cost effective, clean, properly marked and branded, ‘on time’ Public Transport system) and support a Go East plan with development of added roads and community services which will allow us to realize, traffic easement of traffic congestion and to ramp up housing we so direly need (see Item 2).

5-Sustainable Government Spending

The sustainability and value of government programs are essential for long-term prosperity. I will advocate Open Government, to ensure we all are better informed and provide for systematic rolling audits of all governmental programs to avoid harmful waste of the public purse and for early redirecting of funds to meet the pressing needs of our community.

6-Protecting the Vulnerable and providing access to services

I will propose and support legislation and policy changesthat provide stronger support systems and protection for our most vulnerable citizens.

7-Responsible Environmental Stewardship

Maintaining a healthy environment is the foundation of a bright future for all Caymanians.

Key priorities include:

8-Education and job opportunities

Over Seventy percent of primary school students are not achieving the necessary reading standards to enter high school. This is in a time when we are amidst of the global changes (and threats) brought about by emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), evolving digital currencies, and complex, evolving, and uncertain Geopolitics.
We must not educate as to basics but must ramp up rapidly. Unless we position ourselves to meet these challenges these Islands will be left behind.

9-Immigration Law and Employment opportunities

The current immigration laws and policies have
failed us with many Caymanians facing barriers
into the workplace and in getting the better
higher paying jobs while we have a large
number of work permits in a system which does
not protect Caymanians. We have a very weak
system by which we grant Permanent Residency
(which most automatically leads to grant of
‘Right to be Caymanian’). We also send our
young people abroad for higher education—at
great expense to taxpayers and their families
—without ensuring jobs await them upon their
return. We must review our immigration
legislation policies. I will advocate for law review
to be conducted and will ensure that full
information is broadly available for the
population to consider – including by using
social media and electronic polling – in order to
feed into the discussion as to ultimate changes
to be made.

10-Wellness, Health and Voluntary Retirement

“A healthy body is a healthy mind”. I am a firm believer in this principle and will advocate programs for all of us to enjoy and to keep us healthy

I will propose and support legislation for:

Leadership with Vision

Progress, Growth, Opportunity for Everyone

Our mission is to create a future that benefits everyone. From economic growth to community development, stay informed on the issues that matter.
